Objective:
Design a wordmark for a magazine focused on climate change. The wordmark must be bold, informative, and reputable. The audience of this publication is young adults who want to learn more about their impact on the environment.
Process:
Explored common climate change language. Key phrases included; greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide, heat,
rising sea levels, etc. Used these examples to think of punchy magazine titles that would appeal to young adult audiences. Decided to experiment with Rise, and Carbon Copy. Rise, due to excessive temperatures caused by the greenhouse effect. Within Carbon Copy, carbon relates to CO2 emissions contributing to greenhouse gases, and copy represents the physical magazine format.
